Vendor Manager - 65k OTE- Basingstoke
Our client, a successful and fast growing company within the IT Industry are currently looking for a Vendor Manager due to expansion. Your role: Relationship management, retention and development of the Games or Software and Consumer Electronics Division vendors, delivering on targeted gross profits per publisher. Identify and drive strategic acquisition of new and commercially relevant product suppliers. Deliver an annual and quarterly business planning process to all existing suppliers so as to facilitate concise communication and meet shared objectives. Assess and deliver strategic financial optimisation of given vendor terms in place and report monthly. Work closely with internal Sales teams to deliver product level success and financially sound decision making and planning. Principle Accountabilities: To achieve targeted overall profits (shared on a top-line sales basis with Suppliers) To create and manage budgets for all Games or Software and CE Labels. Manage inventory levels in association with Purchasing team adhering to company budgets. Take a lead role in sourcing new product and product genre opportunities supported by MD. Review all supplier contracts on a quarterly basis and re-negotiate on expiry. Develop and maintain close working relationships with Senior members of all Suppliers. Develop suppliers understanding as to what tools and timelines that customers require us to work to in order to maximize the launch and continued success of a product. Develop a clear stock life cycle management and campaign process with suppliers and report monthly on back catalogue sales and overstocks. To monitor market dynamics and trends and warn against potential future threats. Manage and collate product assets, sales sheets and other required assets. Trade marketing plans and ROI reporting. To share with sales manager and colleagues any information that is relevant/affects their area. Experience/Qualification requirement: Proven senior level Sales management/Development or Publishing experience with a minimum of 6 years experience within a distribution or Publishing field, essentially within the Games development/Publishing IT/Consumer Electronics Industry. Must be able to demonstrate and sustain extensive senior level contacts and defined networking paths within the given Industry. Highly numerate and analytically minded with the ability to manage multiple work steams and adhere to strict deadlines.
